He returned to the U.S. to work as Director of International Programs for an Atlanta based nonprofit organization. It was here that his international experience and insight on techniques to detect and enhance financial stability of an organization, came to use. It was during the research for a project in the oil and natural gas industries the Matt Badiali learned about the existence of master limited partnerships. A master limited partnership is a special type of classification that a corporation can qualify for under Statute 26-F. Statute 26-F was first passed in the 1980s by Congress and allows a corporation to operate tax-free if they meet two requirements. In order to qualify as a master limited partnership, the corporation must derive 90% of its income from the production, storage, transportation, and processing of oil and natural gas domestically within the United States of America. Additionally, the corporation must also periodically payout a portion of its revenues to its shareholders in a manner that is very similar to dividends from the conventional stock market.
